The Big Feed 2012
Keynote Talk: Notes on the Green Language a Fieldfaring Project
M12 Studio Byers Colorado
We were honored to be invited by Richard Saxton and M12 Studio to give a keynote presentation about our work at the Big Feed 2012. We drove out from Oakland. It was the best party we attended that year! Loved seeing their rural studio located in the Feed Store in Byers.
“Landing somewhere between a family reunion, potluck dinner, and symposium, The Big Feed was held each year from 2007 until 2014 at various locations. The social action and performance event served as a way to celebrate the regional landscape, experimental art and architecture, food, music, culture, community, and the emerging field of the rural arts. It was a forum to connect community members and artists in a casual atmosphere, as well as an opportunity for the larger public to learn more about the groundbreaking work presented by the attending community members, artists, musicians, and curators. A regional bison was traditionally roasted each year and all who attended also brought a dish. Hundreds of people performed, spoke, and even did magic tricks.” (M12 website)
